Stage two of the Valorant Champions Tour is well underway! VCT Brazil has seen some Stage 2 action recently, and we’re here to report on how that went down. A quick refresher on the tournament structure: during Stage 2 of VCT Brazil, teams compete for points. Winners of the Challengers phase of Stage 1 obviously have an advantage in points, having earned plenty at this point. The two teams with the most points at the end of the Challengers phase of VCT Brazil Stage 2 will head to Reykjavik, Iceland, to compete at the international Masters tournament there.
The Story So Far
The four teams to come out on top of Challengers 1 are:
- Team Vikings
- FURIA Esports
- Sharks Esports
The fact that Team Vikings and FURIA Esports made it through the gauntlet should surprise no one who follows VCT Brazil. Both Team Vikings and FURIA Esports have made a dominant showing in the first stage of the Valorant Champions Tour. If anything, it would’ve been shocking if they didn’t make it through. Gamelanders, on the other hand, a team that claimed 2nd Place in VCT Brazil Stage 1 Masters, are conspicuously absent. They fell to Sharks Esports in the Lower Bracket Final of the playoffs.
Challengers 2 begins this Saturday, April 10 for the Brazil region. The Top 4 of Challengers 1 are automatically seeded into the playoffs of Challengers 2. As mentioned before, the Top 2 teams with the most points after the Challengers phase is over will proceed to Iceland for the Masters phase.
